Kathy Boe, Founder and CEO of Boecore, Inc., is an award-winning entrepreneur, engineer, and leader who has worked in support of the Department of Defense for 25+ years.
Kathy’s career began when she was 20 years old at Hughes Aircraft, where she worked as a Software Programmer. In 2000, after several years of experience within the defense engineering industry, Kathy decided it was time to make a change. In the basement of her own home with her core values of trust and integrity in mind, Kathy built Boecore.
Throughout the past 19 years, Boecore has expanded far beyond its original basement walls as a successful Woman-Owned Small Business. Boecore now provides mission critical technical capabilities for an extensive list of defense customers, including the United States Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and Missile Defense Agency.
Boecore’s specialized technical services include Advanced Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Mission Operations. Boecore is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with a regional office in Huntsville, Alabama. The company also has site operations in New Mexico, California, Arizona, Washington, North Carolina, and Virginia.
Boecore is a proud recipient of numerous industry awards. The company was ranked as one of The Gazette’s Best Places to Work in Colorado Springs in 2017, and as the Colorado Springs Chamber/EDC’s Company of the Year in 2013. Boecore has received several Top Supplier awards from Northrop Grumman, as well as the Department of Defense Nunn-Perry Award in 2008. In 2013, Kathy was named Business Leader of the Year from the Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She also received the Colorado Springs Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2009.
